Why I Sing the Blues

I’m a guitar player and singer from Detroit. I started out at 19 playing with Motor City Josh. I’ve been on and off the road ever since, around the US and over to Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean.

I grew up on B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins and Ray Charles. I got to play B.B. King’s memorial celebration in Memphis. I’ve played with Thornetta Davis, RJ Spangler, Brett Lucas, John Németh and Paul Carey, among others.

I play a mix of blues covers and my own songs. My album Waiting on the Sun came out in 2014.
