Johnny Rhoades is a blues guitarist and singer from Detroit, Michigan. He started out at 19 playing in Motor City Josh’s band. He has been on and off the road ever since, around the US and in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean. He grew up on B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins and Ray Charles. He played B.B. King’s memorial celebration in Memphis. He has played with Thornetta Davis, RJ Spangler, Brett Lucas, John Németh and Paul Carey, among others. He plays a mix of blues covers and his own songs. His album Waiting on the Sun came out in 2014.
